Overview

Laying an obstacle is slow, exposed work. A remotely operated vehicle removes the exposure: the operator stays behind cover while the rover crosses the ground, places each store at a recorded position, and comes back.

Every placement is logged with its position and time, which is the record that makes later clearance possible. The same vehicle can be sent back along that record to recover what it laid.

System qualities

01 / 04

Nobody in the area

The operator works from cover at stand-off. The vehicle takes the risk of the crossing and the placement.

02 / 04

Every placement recorded

Position and time are logged as each store leaves the dispenser, producing the record that makes clearance safe and auditable.

03 / 04

Goes back for them

The recorded line can be re-driven to recover stores rather than abandon them.

04 / 04

Crosses real ground

Tracks and a low centre of mass for broken terrain, scrub and slopes, not prepared surfaces.
